This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced maintenance technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role combines preventative and reactive maintenance with the chance to work on a variety of equipment and systems, from production machinery to site utilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and improving production equipment and utilities. This will involve troubleshooting using PLCs, supporting engineering projects, and working closely with operations and health & safety teams to ensure compliance and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing reactive and planned maintenance across the site
* Installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting plant and equipment
* Carrying out diagnostics and basic programming on equipment
* Troubleshooting PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Schneider)
* Supporting facilities equipment such as HVAC, compressed air, refrigeration
* Executing preventive maintenance and supporting continuous improvement
* Monitoring equipment performance and recommending improvements
The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, or engineering and at least 3 years' experience in a maintenance technician role. They will also possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as experience in motor control systems, pneumatics, temperature control, and safety systems.
