Location: Dublin (3 days/week on-site)
Contract: 6-Month Rolling
Stelfox is hiring a Production Support Engineer on behalf of one of our Dublin-based clients. This is a dynamic contract opportunity for a skilled engineer to work across multiple domains, including Operational Readiness, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, and ITSM practices.
The role spans across several domains and skill areas:
Operational Readiness Architect
Lead application health, performance, and capacity planning.
Collaborate with development teams for launch reviews and monitoring strategies.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
Ensure scalability and resilience of applications.
Conduct blameless post-mortems and optimise incident response.
Automate alerts and establish SLOs with development teams.
DevOps & Automation
Enhance CI/CD pipelines and operational gating.
Promote automation to reduce manual toil.
Apply best practices in Chef Infra, Jenkins, and scripting.
ITSM Practices
Analyse platform ITSM activities and provide feedback to improve resiliency.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
Minimum 5+ years of support experience.
Strong experience with Linux systems.
Familiarity with distributed systems and incident management.
Excellent communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
Good to Have:
Experience with Chef and Jenkins.
Scripting and automation expertise.
Knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools such as Splunk.
