Job Description:
As a Non-Consultant Hospital Doctor (NCHD) at Wexford General Hospital, you will play a vital role in the provision of medical care to patients. The hospital is a 270-bedded facility providing Inpatient, Outpatient, Day Care, Outreach and Emergency Services.
The ideal candidate will possess a Degree in Medicine, be fully registered with the Irish Medical Council, and have passed the IELTS examination.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
* Diagnose and treat patients in accordance with best medical practices.
* Prioritize patient safety and well-being in all duties and functions.
* Assess patients on admission and/or discharge, writing detailed reports in case notes as required.
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate and monitor treatment plans.
* Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and colleagues.
* Foster ongoing knowledge of diagnosis and management through education and training.
* Contribute to multidisciplinary clinical audit and proactive risk management initiatives.
* Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and human resource policies.
* Attend NCHD Induction training, which may include on-site or online components.
* Perform other duties as required by the supervising Consultant/Clinical Director/Employer.
