Job Overview
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the financial and contractual aspects of multiple high-value projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure each scheme is delivered efficiently and profitably.
Responsibilities
* Manage all commercial and contractual elements of projects from tender stage through to final account.
* Prepare and review cost plans, valuations, variations, and project forecasts.
* Lead subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations, and contract administration.
* Support project delivery teams with accurate cost reporting and financial guidance.
* Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
* Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimisation.
* Ensure all work complies with company procedures and relevant legislation.
Requirements
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
* 5+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within mechanical building services or M&E contracting.
* Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and commercial management.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
* A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong IT proficiency (Excel, estimating and cost management software).
