About Northern Trust
Northern Trust, a Fortune 500 company, is a globally recognized, award-winning financial institution that has been in continuous operation since 1889.
Northern Trust is proud to provide innovative financial services and guidance to the world’s most successful individuals, families, and institutions by remaining true to our enduring principles of service, expertise, and integrity. With more than 130 years of financial experience and over 22,000 partners, we serve the world’s most sophisticated clients using leading technology and exceptional service.
Due to the build-out of our AML centre of excellence in Limerick, we have opportunities at various levels, from graduates to experienced AML professionals and leaders.
The teams
The Ireland Investor AML Onboarding team is responsible for completing AML verification on investors prior to opening an account in a fund under Northern Trust’s administration. All investors are risk assessed, and initial due diligence documentation is gathered to facilitate onboarding. The team also monitors trigger events, which may require a refresh of documentation due to changes in an investor’s circumstances.
The Ireland Investor AML Ongoing Monitoring team is responsible for the continuous monitoring of investors throughout their investment journey. This includes overnight screening of all investors and related parties, transaction monitoring of investment activity, and periodic reviews to ensure due diligence documentation remains accurate and current.
The roles
Our teams have the opportunity to work on large-scale ongoing monitoring projects at an EMEA-wide level across multiple jurisdictions. AML partners will be involved in the strategic rollout of such projects and accountable for execution to the highest AML standards. Success requires building and maintaining strong relationships with the Northern Trust Transfer Agency and Client Services Departments across EMEA, as well as other key stakeholders, to deliver robust AML onboarding and ongoing monitoring services to our clients and investors.
The Skills
Successful candidates will demonstrate some of the following:
* Organized approach and ability to meet deadlines
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders
* Experience in managing large projects with strong organizational skills
* Skills in risk management, compliance, process improvement, or research are transferable and encouraged
* Knowledge of fund administration or investor services is a plus
* Training provided to develop initiative and independence
