Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as Investor Relations Operations Manager. This role balances operational leadership with client relationship management, ensuring excellence in service delivery and strong client partnerships. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 15 professionals across several global locations, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality service to hedge fund clients and their investors. This role requires a strong focus on operational excellence, client/investor service, performance measurement, risk mitigation, and the integration of advanced technologies to drive service innovation.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership (50%)

* Lead and develop a team of 15 investor relations professionals servicing clients across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.
* Oversee individual and collective workloads, queues and productivity metrics and adjust as needed to meet deadlines.
* Conduct daily and weekly check-ins and provide balanced feedback in monthly appraisals.
* Develop talent within the team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
* Hire talent and ensure thorough onboarding and training plans are in place.
* Use performance data and KPIs to monitor service levels, identify trends, and implement improvements.
* Partner with internal teams (Fund Accounting, Compliance, Technology, Implementation) to ensure seamless client experiences.
* Champion the adoption of innovative technologies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce risk, and improve the scalability of the IR function.
* Implement and maintain effective risk controls and ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements.
* Support strategic initiatives and onboarding of new clients, ensuring readiness and alignment of investor operations.
* Prepare a weekly report to identify the team’s successes, challenges, and risks.

Client Relationship Management (50%)

* Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality service and proactive communication.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
* Drive excellence in investor servicing, ensuring SLA adherence, high-quality deliverables, and timely resolution of client and investor inquiries.
* Partner with clients to understand evolving needs and provide value-added solutions.
* Support onboarding of new clients and oversight of transitions to ensure seamless delivery.


Requirements

* 6+ years of experience in investor relations or client services within financial services, with progressively increasing responsibility, ideally in hedge fund administration.
* Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience managing medium-sized teams (8+ people), ideally globally dispersed.
* Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
* Solid understanding of alternative investment structures, investor servicing operations, and regulatory requirements (e.g., AML/KYC, FATCA, CRS).
* Data-driven mindset with the ability to track metrics, interpret results, write reports, and take actionable steps.
* Experience in leveraging technology to improve processes (e.g., workflow tools, CRM platforms, robotic automation) is an asset.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
