With our sustainable concepts and experience gained from decades of project work, we shape the future of transportation, connect continents, and promote environmental stewardship.We are currently seeking a Project Engineering Manager to work with us in Ireland.ResponsibilitiesAct as NEC Supervisor and main site representative.Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to support successful project delivery.Monitor site activities for compliance with regulations, standards, and procedures.Review contractor quality plans, risk assessments, and method statements with the Project Manager.Ensure safe, efficient site operations with minimal impact on stakeholders and the environment.Agree and witness inspection and testing activities, including offsite equipment.Perform regular audits and inspections of contractor work, directing remedial actions and following up on non‑conformance.Coordinate access and logistics with client operations for efficient project progress.Inspect completed works for readiness, record outcomes, and oversee remedial actions.Set and agree workmanship standards jointly with the contractor for consistency.Monitor contractor inspection records and as‑built drawings for contract compliance.Hold regular site meetings to track staff deployment and work details.Track project progress with site visits, inspections, and compare to schedules; elevate issues as needed.Maintain an up‑to‑date site diary and photo database of progress.Support the Project Manager on Compensation Event assessments and report writing.Attend and contribute to progress meetings and joint safety tours.Promote HSSE awareness and high workmanship standards among contractors’ staff.Review project performance, contribute to reporting, and drive continuous improvement.Ensure compliance with quality management system and client standards.Oversee integration of systems and sub‑systems to meet performance specifications.Manage quality records and arrange archival upon project closure.QualificationsMinimum of 15 years’ experience, with at least 7 years of specialisation within NEC Supervision, in large scale multidisciplinary railway engineering and construction projects, or projects of a similar nature.At least Bachelor degree (Honours Bachelor Degree) (or equivalent) in relevant subject area e.g. Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction, project management etc.NEC3/4 ECC Supervision Accreditation.Chartered member of a relevant professional body e.g. Engineers Ireland, RICS or equivalent.Applicable knowledge of monitoring Contractor and Consultant performance.Sound experience and understanding of claims management.Experience of supervising Contractor and Consultant performance management frameworks.Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Contractor and Consultant organisations, as well as experience in building a KPI library.Demonstrable experience in executing contracts, particularly NEC contract suite.Further experience in developing individual contract management strategies, and implementing those strategies.Detailed understanding of, and expertise in, NEC 3/4 contract management particularly within the Complex Infrastructure industry, ideally within Rail, Tunnelling or Civils/structures; Ability to lead a small team.Benefits and SupportCompetitive compensation package based on country conditions.Relocation and immigration assistance.Global onboarding program and intercultural training.Confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) support for all employees.International safety support and information for safe working conditions worldwide.Vacation and leave policies promoting a healthy work‑life balance.
