Audit Manager (Technology, Pharma, and Insurance)
BDO Ireland's Audit department is growing and we have an open vacancy for a Manager in our Technology, Pharma and Insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of clients of variable sizes across Technology, Pharma and Insurance industries.
* Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients, working closely with Financial Controller/Director or Senior Executive levels in managing the audit-specific requirements.
* Manage international reporting process both to Group Auditors and from Component Auditors.
* Coordinate and project manage the allocation of staff resources to jobs.
* Lead teams on the planning, execution, and completion of audits.
* Provide technical auditing and accounting assistance to team members and clients.
* Report directly to senior manager/director on engagements.
* Assist with managing the team's financial performance e.g., agreeing and billing of fees, cash collections, monitoring recoverability of WIP, etc.
* Participate in the coaching, mentoring, and appraisal of staff.
* Manage and coordinate the pitch/proposals for new work.
Requirements:
* ACA or ACCA qualification with 3+ years PQE.
* Demonstrate strong technical auditing and accounting skills, including knowledge of the ISAs and accounting standards FRS 100 to FRS 102 and IFRS.
* Proven management skills and behaviours.
* A strong market/commercial awareness.
* Understands the operational aspects of managing an audit team and is accountable for results.
* Good communication skills are key, as you will be required to deal with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
* Strong project management skills, particularly in relation to managing expectations of stakeholders.
* Positive attitude and a high level of personal drive to guide change initiatives and see them through to completion.
