Our Dublin based client are looking for a Senior IT Systems Administrator to join their growing team. Excellent opportunity with a company operating on large scale with a strong user base To note, this position is office based Job Responsibilities Leading the administration, support, and optimisation of a hybrid IT environment that will include : Azure, Microsoft 365, on-prem Windows Servers Managing Azure Active Directory, Azure VMs, and other Azure services. Develop and manage IT policies and best practices Be a leader on cloud governance and security. Leading projects related to cloud migrations, system upgrades, and general infrastructure improvements Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and applying updates Maintain and identity access management systems using Azure AD, Group Policy, MFA, and conditional access. Providing 3rd-line technical support that includes for resolving escalated issues, and performing root cause analysis. Mentoring and providing guidance to junior IT staff and support technicians. Monitoring system performance and availability and implementing improvements as needed. Maintain a high level of accurate documentation for system architecture, configurations, and processes. Work to deliver key software and configuration services to the user base. Make user experience a core focus Experience Required Working knowledge of Azure and industry best practices A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a System Administrator, with 2 years in a senior or cloud-focused role. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS services). Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and PowerShell scripting. Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender for Endpoint, and other Microsoft cloud technologies. Familiarity with virtualisation platforms (VMware or Hyper-V). Proven ability to manage infrastructure projects and drive cloud adoption strategies. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
