About This Role:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering, with experience in medical device design and development. This opportunity requires a highly skilled professional to lead the development of new products from concept to commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of the disease state and gather user needs to translate into technical specifications.
- Manage direct team performance, time, and cost targets.
- Generate creative product solutions to address unmet needs.
- Design test models for prototype performance evaluations.
- Build and test prototypes; analyze test data and interpret results to identify optimal solutions.
- Create detailed component and finished device assembly drawings/specifications.
- Select product materials, define assembly methods, and process settings.
- Identify and manage key risks throughout the product lifecycle.
- Evaluate physician techniques and develop product training materials.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in all stages of medical device design and development.
- Mechanical or biomedical engineering degree or equivalent.
- Experience with Medical Devices, cardiovascular or neurovascular implants or instruments.
