Job Summary
The Plant Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the financial management and reporting for the plant.
This position is responsible for monthly analysis and follow-up of plant costs, preparation of forecasts and ad hoc reports, and ensuring the integrity of financial and operational data.
The Plant Accountant will work closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to provide insightful financial analysis and support business decision-making.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at collaborating with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Monthly Analysis & Reporting
Analyze and monitor fixed, variable, and MPE (Manufacturing, Production, and Engineering) costs monthly.
Prepare and distribute monthly forecasts and ad hoc cost reports.
Conduct variance analysis and identify business drivers impacting plant performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Support the annual plant Profit Objective preparation and ongoing financial planning.
Conduct cost simulations for different scenarios, including changes in production or materials.
Provide timely and accurate information to plant management and group.
Cost Management & Process Improvement
Review unit prices for materials manufactured and maintain Material Master Data accuracy.
Run standard and actual cost estimates; identify areas for cost optimization.
Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure the accuracy of process orders and inventory data.
Business Partnering
Work closely with Plant Manager and plant leadership to identify opportunities for business improvement.
Provide ongoing guidance and support to non-finance personnel on accounting matters, accruals, and financial processes.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Support and uphold high standards of SOX controls impacting finance.
Serve as point of contact for internal and external audits.
Perform or support account reconciliations as needed.
Project Involvement
Participate in finance projects and initiatives impacting plant operations.
Contribute to the implementation of new financial processes, systems, and best practices.

Fluent English (written and spoken) required.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in SAP, BW, Excel, PowerPoint, and GCAP.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, in a manufacturing or plant environment.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge of internal controls (SOX), cost accounting, and inventory management.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
