Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Irish IT function, setting strategic direction and ensuring successful delivery of local projects and initiatives.
* Plan and execute technology programmes and systems implementations in a structured and effective manner.
* Enhance the customer experience through the delivery of integrated, intelligent digital solutions.
* Provide monthly reporting and updates on project progress, risks, and issues to the Irish and Group IT senior leadership teams.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure IT services are delivering maximum value.
* Identify opportunities for system upgrades, configurations, or new technologies, supported by clear strategic plans.
* Manage the Irish IT budget, ensuring responsible spend and strong return on investment.
* Develop and maintain IT performance metrics and reporting frameworks to drive service improvement and operational efficiency.
* Establish and manage IT business practices and processes in alignment with the broader IT governance framework.
* Continuously seek and implement opportunities to enhance process efficiency.
* Ensure IT infrastructure across all retail sites is maintained, supported, and prepared for business continuity at all times.
* Oversee cyber security measures and ensure compliance with internal controls and risk management standards.
* Work closely with Group IT leadership to support and influence global strategic initiatives and standards.
* Contribute to the wider Irish senior management team and the broader IT community as required.
Candidate Profile:
Education, Qualifications & Experience:
* Honours degree in IT or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
* Minimum of 10 years’ relevant IT experience, including at least 3 years in a senior IT leadership role.
* Demonstrated experience in managing IT budgets and delivering measurable returns on investment.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms is preferred.
* ITIL framework experience is essential.
* Prior experience with POS systems and ERP platforms is advantageous.
* Experience within a multi-site retail or similar customer-facing environment is highly desirable.
