Finance Officer Financial Reporting Job
This is a full-time position that involves managing and completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations for all bank accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Finance Department.
The Role:
The Finance Officer will work closely with the Financial Accountant to prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the purposes of the monthly management accounts process. They will manage administration connected to bank accounts, prepare monthly bank reconciliations, maintain the register of Purchasing Cards, and download and circulate card statements.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
2. Work with the Financial Accountant to prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the purposes of the monthly management accounts process.
4. Maintain the register of Purchasing Cards.
5. Download and circulate card statements.
6. Manage administration connected to the implementation of National Procurement Contracts.
7. Prepare procurement compliance monitoring reports and other statutory reports.
Requirements:
* Significant experience in finance and accounting, particularly in the areas of Bank Reconciliations, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Purchasing Cards, and Monthly Reporting.
* Very good MS Office skills, particularly knowledge and experience in MS Excel.
* Appreciation of the rights and needs of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
* Willingness to assume significant responsibility, ownership, and accountability.
* Level 6 qualification in Accounting or Business.
* Experience of working on statutory audits in an accounting practice.
* Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
