Assistant Accountant Job Description
Location: Dublin City Centre. Type: Permanent.
Job Summary:
This role involves supporting the accounting team in various tasks such as accounts payable, fixed asset register maintenance, bank account management and balance sheet reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment to vendors.
* Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and manage bank accounts, ensuring seamless transactions.
* Reconcile balance sheets regularly to identify any discrepancies or errors.
* Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency.
* Monitor costs and variance analysis to optimize financial performance.
* Assist in monthly reconciliations across the group.
* Support the audit process and ensure compliance with tax and statutory reporting requirements.
Requirements:
* IATI qualified.
* Ability to work in a hands-on function.
* Excellent analytical skills, with strong IT skills essential.
* Deadline-oriented, with the ability to work to multiple tight deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail.
