Overview
Role: Business Development Manager
Innopharma partners with leading Biopharmaceutical, MedTech and food manufacturing companies to deliver workforce solutions, technical expertise and specialised education & training programmes. The Business Development Manager drives growth by expanding the client base within the life sciences sector, combining sector expertise, technical acumen and proven sales experience to identify opportunities and deliver bespoke solutions for biotech, pharma, medtech and research institutions.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a business development strategy to drive growth across targeted sectors.
* Lead generation and relationship development with Life Sciences companies throughout Ireland.
* Act as a trusted advisor by supporting companies with Innopharma workforce solutions and training provision.
* Collaborate with technical and recruitment teams to shape service offerings aligned with client requirements.
* Track and support ongoing contracts, seeking opportunities for upsell or renewal.
* Represent Innopharma at industry events, conferences and client meetings.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify opportunities.
* Report to the Innopharma leadership team on sales performance, forecasting and business development activities.
Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor’s or MSc in a life sciences discipline (biology, chemistry, biomedicine, etc.) or equivalent.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience within or collaborating with biotech, pharma, medtech, with a strong business development focus.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills; ability to express complex technical and business concepts clearly.
* Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Proactive, self-driven and capable of thriving in a dynamic SME environment.
* Broad network in the life sciences industry.
* Experience in R&D, service provision, contract negotiation or project management.
* Familiarity with technical training delivery or design.
* Strong organizational skills and comfort with setting priorities under uncertainty.
