We need a Sous Chef for our client's renowned cafe in County Mayo.
The role requires skill in managing a small, but perfectly formed, kitchen, assisting the Head Chef, and covering for them in their absence. To be successful, you will need experience with pass/service, baking, prepping, and managing stocks and orders.
Our client's kitchen is a dynamic, energetic work environment brimming with good energy and enthusiasm. Team members work 40 hours a week and take two days off. The salary will be competitive based on experience, and tips will be distributed equitably among the team.
Please apply if you have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen, whether in a restaurant or cafe. Ideally, you'll have worked as a Sous Chef already; however, applications from chefs with at least 18 months as a Chef de Partie will also be considered. Our client seeks a chef passionate about delicious cafe food and creative, as you'll work directly with the Head Chef to develop original menu items.
Applicants should have excellent communication skills, HACCP training, and a determination to succeed.
