Our Client is currently seeking an experiencedMotor Claims Handlerto join their team in South Dublin.The successful candidate will report directly to theClaims Operations Managerand work closely with the wider claims and underwriting teams.About YouMinimum 2 years' experience in motor claims handling.APA qualified or grandfathered (CIP in progress is an advantage).Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver excellent customer service while accurately capturing all critical data at the notification stage.Proactively manage incoming communications to ensure early and cost-effective resolution of claims.Handle correspondence from claimants, assessors, garages, solicitors, and other parties to prevent delays and cost escalation.Conduct desktop investigations at the initial stage, confirming indemnity and liability where possible.Negotiate fair and professional settlements with all stakeholders.Manage an assigned caseload through to final settlement.Escalate complex claims to the Claims Manager as appropriate.Perform regular file and reserve reviews to maintain service standards in line with SLAs.Meet personal and team performance targets.Undertake additional duties as required by management.Key Skills & CompetenciesMinimum 2 years' claims handling experience (essential).APA/Grandfathered status; CIP in progress preferred.Strong customer focus with ability to achieve win-win outcomes.Knowledge of underwriting principles, legal liability, claims regulations, CPC compliance, and motor legislation.Methodical approach with strong problem-solving skills.Excellent negotiation and decision-making abilities.Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.Strong communication and telephone skills.Team player with a proactive, positive attitude and high motivation.
