Caregivers are required to provide high-quality support to young people in a residential setting. This involves promoting independence and person-centred planning, contributing to the day-to-day running of the service.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing direct care to residents
2. Assisting with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing and grooming
3. Encouraging residents to participate in recreational activities and therapies
4. Working collaboratively with other team members to achieve positive outcomes for residents
5. Participating in training and professional development opportunities
6. Reporting any concerns or incidents to management
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A minimum Level 7 qualification in social care or a relevant area
2. Clear understanding of person-centred care and keyworking
3. Understanding and experience of risk assessments and safeguarding of young people in care
4. Working knowledge of HIQA policies and procedures
5. Working knowledge of Children's First guidelines and procedures
6. Full Clean Manual Driving License
