Role OverviewThe role sits within an Innovation & International Research (IIR) Team, supporting research, innovation, and international collaboration to advance Ireland's energy system decarbonisation. The post reports to the Programme Manager for IIR and involves working with technical and analytical experts across SEAI and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport International Energy Agency (IEA) activities, including:Day‑to‑day management of the IEA Technology Collaboration Programme (TCP)Coordinating the annual TCP Participant Appointment CallLeading dissemination to maximise programme impactDeveloping and implementing programme improvementsContribute to delivery of a Sustainable Research & Implementation Strategy 2026–2030Provide project management support for commissioned research and EU‑funded activitiesSupport the company's role as National Contact Point for Horizon Europe Cluster 5 (Energy)Represent them at national and international events and committeesWork flexibly during peak activity periodsKnowledge & SkillsTeamwork and collaborationProven project management, including scope, time, risk, cost, and quality managementStrong analytical and problem‑solving ability with sound judgementExcellent written and verbal communication, including public representationAbility to build strong stakeholder relationships and work in multidisciplinary teamsFlexible, solution‑focused approachStrong numeracy, attention to detail, and quality focusAbility to multitask and meet deadlinesStrong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)Experience & QualificationsEssentialDegree/ NFQ Level 7 or higher in Engineering, Science, Economics, or an energy‑related fieldMin 3 years' relevant experience in an energy‑related area or research programme administration/managementExperience working in multidisciplinary teams and managing projects with diverse stakeholdersStrong understanding of energy technologies and national/EU energy policyExcellent communication skills (written, verbal, presenting, public speaking)Well‑developed IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)DesirablePostgraduate or PhD qualificationExperience managing funded research projects or working in research consortiaExperience conducting technical analysis of energy technologies and systemsExperience delivering knowledge‑sharing, capacity‑building or innovation‑impact activitiesExperience in customer‑focused service deliveryThis offers a competitive salary, hybrid working, a supportive team.Please get in touch for a discussion - thank you Nicola
