Job Title: Safety & Compliance Specialist
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained throughout our organisation. This involves the effective implementation and management of our health and safety policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote a positive health and safety culture within the organisation.
* Liaise with managers and employees to develop site-specific documentation and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
* Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and provide advice on mitigating risks.
* Investigate accidents and incidents, implement corrective actions, and maintain records.
* Ensure all employees receive appropriate health and safety training and inductions.
* Coordinate the provision of personal protective equipment and maintain accurate logs of supplier requirements and associated documentation.
* Maintain customer portals related to health and safety registration and records.
* Complete internal audits and ensure discrepancies are corrected in a timely manner.
* Develop and implement a Health & Safety Management System (ISO45001) across ESS group companies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or similar qualification.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in an operational-, contracting-, or construction-related role.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
