Are you tired of doing the "same old" on every project?
At WiiGroup, we're looking for like-minded, creative professionals who want to influence our delivery approach, ways of working, and culture. You'll work on complex engineering and construction programmes while pushing the boundaries of Lean practice, digitalisation, and performance excellence.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager – Excellence & Lean to join our growing delivery and transformation team. In this role, you will drive operational excellence across Pharmaceutical and Data Centre projects by improving reliability, flow, and predictability in project delivery.
You will apply Lean principles, continuous improvement methods, and structured problem-solving to remove waste from delivery systems—spanning design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. You will work alongside project controls and engineering teams to ensure Lean improvements are measurable and embedded through planning discipline (Primavera P6) and performance reporting (Power BI metrics and dashboards).
This role suits an analytical, delivery-focused consultant who can operate confidently with senior stakeholders, facilitate teams through change, and translate Lean thinking into measurable project outcomes (schedule adherence, productivity, constraint removal, and better decision-making).
Key Responsibilities
Lean Strategy and Delivery System Improvement
* Lead Lean maturity and delivery system assessments across client projects and programmes.
* Identify waste, variability, and constraints impacting flow, productivity, and schedule performance.
* Develop and implement continuous improvement roadmaps aligned to project goals (cost, schedule, safety, quality, productivity).
* Facilitate Lean workshops including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen events, 5S, A3 problem-solving, and standard work design.
Operational Excellence on Capital Projects
* Diagnose operational and project delivery issues across engineering, supply chain, construction, and commissioning workflows.
* Implement practical Lean interventions to improve handoffs, reduce rework, stabilise work packages, and increase delivery certainty.
* Develop and embed SOPs, visual management systems, tiered meeting structures, and escalation routines that support predictable delivery.
Planning Integration (Primavera P6) and Schedule Reliability
* Partner with planning teams to ensure Lean initiatives translate into improved schedule performance and workface reliability.
* Support structured planning practices including phase planning, lookahead planning, constraint management, and readiness reviews.
* Improve schedule quality and decision-making by reinforcing good planning behaviours (logic integrity, critical path awareness, risk/constraint visibility, progress rules).
Reporting and Metrics (Power BI)
o Define and implement operational excellence metrics and reporting frameworks using Power BI.
o Translate Lean performance drivers into meaningful project metrics (e.g., PPC, constraints removed, work package readiness, rework rate, RFI cycle time, productivity trends, schedule adherence).
o Work with project teams to improve data quality and reporting cadence, enabling leadership to make faster, more informed decisions.
Stakeholder Leadership and Change Enablement
o Build strong working relationships with client leadership, project directors, planners, construction managers, and frontline teams.
o Communicate progress, risks, and improvement outcomes with clarity—linking interventions directly to measurable project results.
o Support change adoption through coaching, on-site engagement, and sustained leadership routines.
Capability Building
o Coach and mentor client and internal teams on Lean principles and operational excellence frameworks within project environments.
o Create and deliver training sessions, toolkits, and coaching programmes tailored to engineering and construction teams.
o Help clients build internal excellence capability and sustain continuous improvement beyond the engagement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You are an operational excellence leader who understands how complex capital projects succeed (or fail). You combine Lean expertise with practical project delivery knowledge—and you can connect improvement actions to measurable outcomes via planning discipline (P6) and clear reporting (Power BI). You are comfortable leading workshops, influencing senior stakeholders, and working hands-on with delivery teams to remove friction and improve flow.
Required Skills and Qualifications
o Education
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
+ Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
Experience
+ 7–12 years' experience in Lean, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Project Delivery Improvement, or Process Engineering.
+ Demonstrated success delivering improvement initiatives with measurable impact.
+ Experience in Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, advanced manufacturing, or other regulated/mission-critical environments is highly desirable.
+ Exposure to project controls and planning environments (engineering and construction) is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills
+ Strong command of Lean methods: VSM, 5S, A3, DMAIC, standard work, visual management, Kaizen facilitation.
+ Working knowledge of Primavera P6 planning concepts and how schedule quality and planning behaviours influence delivery reliability.
+ Strong analytical capability and comfort with metrics-driven improvement.
+ Ability to contribute to (and interpret) Power BI dashboards, KPI frameworks, and operational reporting packs.
Soft Skills
+ Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
+ Structured problem-solver with a bias for action and practical delivery.
+ Confident operating with senior client leadership and site-based teams.
Highly organised; able to manage multiple initiatives and drive accountability.
