Product Engineer, Biosensor Group
Description
The Biosensors Group are seeking experiencedProduct Engineer to join the team in Limerick, Ireland. The group are developing a portfolio of Biosensing products that will enable a new business franchise for the Digital Healthcare Business Unit in Analog Devices. The Biosensing products will target a range of applications including point of care diagnostics and therapeutics. The first product under development is a Multi-Ion Fluidics Sensor for blood.
The selected candidate will develop thorough understanding of the products being developed and their applications. They will support the testing of sensors, and the analysis of data gathered through the characterisation/evaluation phase of the new product development & release process. They will coordinate the development of processes and procedures to enable the Product Engineer support of products post release to the market.
Roles & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Developing a thorough understanding of the Biosensor products.
- Support the Sensor Design team with sensor testing & analysis of data gathered during Characterisation.
- Support the development of the new Manufacturing Process through verification and validation testing.
- Support the execution of new product reliability testing programs.
- Document the results and conclusions of testing performed and report out to the wider team.
- Drive the development of processes and procedures to enable the Product Engineer support of products post release.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Electro-Chemistry or related disciplines.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work at a high level of performance both in a team environment and independently.
- Evidence of leadership skills and delivery on goals set.
- Excellence in oral, written, presentation, collaboration, and inter-personal skills.
- High levels of motivation and creativity, with an outgoing & positive attitude.
- An inquisitive nature and willingness to tackle multiple disciplinary challenges.
- Demonstrated experience of statistical data analysis using JMP or similar tools.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Software is required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desired
- Experience with electrochemical or other chemical/biosensors.
- Experience with ISO 13485 quality standard for medical devices.
