Lead, Network Operations
The Load Balancer Operations Team is responsible for ensuring the health of the load balancing platform, including analysis, patching, and operational support of configurations at MasterCard. Analysts troubleshoot and diagnose complex network issues across the MasterCard Global Enterprise network. The primary role involves monitoring infrastructure to meet MasterCard standards, processes, and availability requirements, with a deep understanding of load balancer hardware, networking, security, and monitoring tools. This hands-on role leads troubleshooting sessions to resolution and collaborates with Business Operations and Service Delivery teams to ensure network designs follow best practices.
Position requires a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, with relevant experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with progressive responsible experience is acceptable.
What you will need:
* Experience with TCP/IP protocols
* Linux Kernel commands for troubleshooting and diagnostics
* Ability to work with development and project teams on load balancer architecture
* Develop innovative and cost-effective monitoring solutions
* Manage complex issues within your expertise
* Develop and maintain automation for load balancer deployment and configuration
* Experience in multi-cloud environments (public, private, hybrid)
* Expertise in internet architecture and project delivery
* Knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls
* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
* Network connectivity skills: IPv4, IPv6, port assignment
* Familiarity with version control systems (GIT, SVN)
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines
* Expertise in SSL, digital certificates, and PKI standards
* Experience with HTTP/HTTPS load balancing
* Implementing enterprise internet connectivity
* Knowledge of BGP, SNMP, SSH technologies
* Strong communication skills
* Self-motivated with good listening skills
