Job Overview
The successful candidate will support management with internal and external portfolio controls, monitoring, and development of the commercial lines of business. They will collaborate with Operations, IT, Governance, Sales, and Claims to achieve company objectives. Responsibilities include analyzing performance data to enhance key business initiatives.
The role requires contributing to a positive team environment, representing the Commercial Product team to stakeholders, and demonstrating attention to detail, quality, collaboration, and deadline management.
Job Responsibilities
* Support the Commercial team with ad hoc projects and reporting
* Assist with cross-portfolio support
* Enhance processes and controls aligned with the Commercial Underwriting strategy
* Conduct quality audits and provide feedback
* Identify risks and develop controls for risk mitigation
* Develop training materials for underwriting and other departments
* Prepare committee and underwriting forum packs, summarize actions, and review markets
* Support underwriting projects and initiatives with operational teams
Qualifications
Minimum of a professional insurance qualification (CIP) or commitment to obtain it within a set timeframe.
Desired Experience
* Commercial underwriting experience
* Experience with reporting tools such as SQL and Tableau
* Experience in quality assurance or auditing
* Stakeholder management skills
