Your New CompanyYour new organisation is a Semi State Utilities Body that is responsible for some of Ireland's key infrastructure. They operate nationwide in conjunction with 31 local authorities along with various construction contractor/developer stakeholders. They have offices located nationally.Your New RoleThere are several roles covering Greater Dublin locations - Dublin // Kildare / Meath AND Wicklow / South Dublin.Your new role is to be based mainly on site but will also have an element of hybrid working, for relevant paperwork and documentation etc.
1. You will be responsible for carrying out site visits for non-standard new connection applications, performing site assessments, and creating work orders for non-standard new connections within a given region. You will work closely with third parties assigned to work in the field, ensuring the delivery of on-site connection services.
2. You will be responsible for overseeing connection requests to the water and wastewater network, working closely with Local Authorities and relevant parties to deliver connection services for customers.
3. You will also support the delivery of connection-related network reinforcement schemes driven by connection demand, working with counterparts from Capital Delivery, Local Authorities, or third-party service providers.
Selection of duties:
4. Provide excellent customer experience through the end-to-end connection process.
5. Monitor incoming site inspection requests in relation to non-standard New Connection applications
6. Conduct site assessments in accordance with Health and Safety Policies and Standards, and input requirements into work order
7. Carry out technical and field assessment of the new connections application as required
8. Document results of inspections and approve/close work order as applicable
9. Support the delivery of network development work when the need for new connections warrants expansion and reinforcement, working closely with the Local Authorities, Capital Delivery and/or third party delivery partners.
10. On-site QA for Water & Wastewater Infrastructure,
11. Liaising with internal functions including Asset Planning, Asset Delivery, Operations etc.
12. Evaluate and provide feedback on design infrastructure on and off development sites.
What You'll Need to Succeed
13. Have a relevant third level qualification in civil engineering
14. Have on-site experience with a civil engineering contractor / residential developer etc.
15. Experience with connection management in a utility/local authority and experience with water/wastewater is advantageous.
16. Knowledge of planning applications and connection regulations
17. Prior client-facing / interaction experience.
18. You must be able to work in the desired locations as mentioned above and have access to your own vehicle. (See below for remuneration)
19. You must also be able to work full-time in Ireland as, unfortunately, sponsorship will not be provided at this time.

20. You will work Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
24 days annual leave, 2.5 company days and all paid Bank Holidays.
21. There is hybrid working of up to 3 days per week, but it varies depending on the site requirements.
22. For this role, the salary on offer depends on your experience level.
The budget for this is up to €85,000 per annum.
23. Civil Service Mileage for travel past your place of work, if multiple site visits are required. This mileage will cover fuel and the upkeep of a vehicle etc.
24. A Semi-State role is the natural progression for engineers that feel they need a change from the long, hectic weeks of a building / civil engineering contractor.
