Our Engineering team seeks a Staff Process Engineer to support the startup of our first European manufacturing site in Athenry. You will apply sound engineering principles in implementing, characterizing, improving, and qualifying manufacturing processes for replicate equipment used in scaling up new or existing products.
Where You Come In
* Responsible for improving, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes and procedures for equipment within a regulated quality system.
* Lead or support equipment/process qualifications, including protocol development and execution.
* Develop and maintain project timelines, providing updates to leadership.
* Apply problem-solving skills to identify process risks and develop mitigation plans.
* Plan and perform Design of Experiments (DOE) using six sigma methodologies to optimize processes.
* Consult with vendors to produce equipment and materials that meet specifications.
* Analyze data statistically and present findings to technical teams.
* Transfer process knowledge to operations teams and provide technical training.
* Assist in developing project timelines and provide technical updates.
* Support scale-up of equipment and processes from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
What Makes You Successful
* B.S. in Mechanical, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field, with 8+ years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 5+ years; or a PhD with 2+ years.
* Ability to manage self-directed projects, maintain timelines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to handle ambiguity and try challenging new approaches.
* Hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
* Knowledge of experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation; JMP, Statgraphics, or Minitab experience preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Understanding of high-reliability, high-volume manufacturing processes.
