Role Overview
We are hiring experienced
Mechanical Fitters
to support the construction of a major
grid stability energy project
in the
Republic of Ireland
. The role will involve the mechanical installation, assembly and alignment of large rotating equipment and associated systems in a high-safety, high-compliance environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Mechanical installation and assembly of large rotating equipment including:
* Flywheel units
* Generators / motors
* Mechanical ancillaries and supporting systems
* Carrying out mechanical fitting duties such as:
* alignment works
(coupling alignment)
* bolting / torquing / tensioning to spec
* installation of skids, frames, guards and mechanical components
* Installation of mechanical plant & systems (pipework, valves, supports, brackets where required)
* Working from mechanical drawings, GA drawings and installation procedures
* Supporting QA/QC checks, inspections, punch lists and mechanical completion sign-off
* Supporting pre-commissioning activities (mechanical completion, checks, snagging support)
* Working safely under permit-to-work systems, including LOTO and RAMS compliance
* Working in
confined spaces
when required, following all site controls and rescue procedures
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a
Mechanical Fitter
in construction / energy / industrial environments
CCNSG Safety Passport (mandatory)
Confined Space Experience (mandatory)
Hands-on experience with
flywheels / generators / rotating equipment
Ability to interpret drawings and follow method statements / procedures
High safety awareness and ability to work to strict compliance standards
Desirable
* Experience on
grid stability projects
, synchronous condenser sites, power stations or energy infrastructure
* Experience supporting commissioning teams and mechanical completion processes
* LOTO / lifting awareness / banksman-slinger experience (advantageous)
