The QA Consultant position is a key connection to strategically leverage the company sustainability initiatives in the context of customer opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the Quality and Food Safety Systems by assuring compliance, including implementation, monitoring, trend analysis, and reporting requirements through the application of appropriate regulatory, processing, and technical principles.
This role will work with teams to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy that includes activations and communications to increase or retain sales and promote our sustainability goals. We are seeking a seasoned individual with prior experience in a science-related role to join our team.
What You’ll Do for Us
1. Drive implementation of The Coca-Cola Quality System (KORE) and ensure compliance across products, packages, ingredients, services, fountain operations, and production facilities by developing and implementing effective quality programs.
2. Monitor the effectiveness of Quality and Food Safety programs to ensure 100% compliance, conducting assessments and developing corrective actions and continuous improvement plans.
3. Develop and implement business plans for the company's and Business Unit’s Quality & Food Safety strategies, including compliance tracking, supplier approval, design reviews, and trend investigations.
4. Provide technical expertise for new plant establishments, processes, and line investments, conducting validation programs to qualify new or modified systems and equipment.
5. Manage product and package quality performance, support market surveys, and conduct trade planning studies to ensure quality improvements.
6. Guide beverage plants on sampling requirements and facilitate liaison with laboratories.
7. Develop new processes and quality system applications, identify technical investment needs, and monitor their effectiveness.
8. Support new product/package launches, system/line start-ups, and troubleshooting of formula and process issues.
9. Create master mixing instructions and data for new products aligning with formulas and company standards.
10. Conduct technical plant visits, support manufacturing processes, and provide technical guidance during implementation.
11. Train frontline leaders on KORE requirements, laboratory analyses, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
12. Build sustainability engagement processes with customer account teams to identify partnership opportunities to increase sales.
13. Assist in developing a customer sustainability strategy through collaboration with stakeholders.
14. Manage and conduct audits of fountain customers to evaluate conformance to beverage quality and food safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in quality systems management in manufacturing, preferably in consumer goods.
* Successful experience in Sustainability, scientific and regulatory affairs, Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, GFSI), food regulatory, and microbiology.
* Understanding of broader sustainability topics such as water, energy & climate, sustainable agriculture, packaging, and recovery.
* Ability to analyze, interpret quality data, make decisions, write reports, and present findings.
* Advanced analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills.
* Proven ability to persuade and influence internal and external stakeholders.
* Knowledge of system economics, value chain, and supply chain finance.
* Technical knowledge of bottling operations, beverage production technology, and supplier processes; system and audit process knowledge.
* Ability to assess risks and develop mitigation plans.
* Knowledge of packaging, product, and ingredient specifications.
* Experience with Program Measurement and Measurement Verification is desirable.
* Experience with customer teams and audits is preferred.
