Our client is a professional services company specialising in Project Management, Commercial Management, Property Assessment, Asset Management and Consulting across the Construction, Infrastructure and Property Sectors.
They are seeking a senior construction project manager to join the office team in Charleville Cork
This is a critical client-facing role requiring a seasoned professional capable of acting as the Client's Representative and leading multi-disciplinary design and construction teams.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Irish contract law, strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record of delivering projects successfully on time and budget within a consultancy setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex projects simultaneously, including:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their objectives, expectations, and governance requirements are meticulously managed and met throughout the project lifecycle.
Establish and implement robust project governance frameworks, including change control, risk registers, financial reporting, and detailed program management.
Expertly administer various forms of construction contracts, including GCCC (Government Contracts Committee for Construction), RIAI, handling certification, claims management, and dispute resolution.
Lead the procurement process for both design teams and main contractors, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and best value for the client.
Manage and monitor project budgets, conduct value engineering, process interim payments, and manage project close-out accounts.
Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams (Architects, Engineers, QS, etc.) and contractors, driving effective communication and decision-making.
Oversee the design process, ensuring constructability, quality compliance, and adherence to all Irish Building Regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
Requirements
4+years experience in the Irish market operating as a Senior or Lead PM level, preferably within a professional consultancy or client-side environment.
Degree qualified in Project Management / Construction / Engineering /Quantity Surveying
Professional Status (Essential) Is highly desirable for this senior role.
Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses exceptional organizational and communication skills.
You must be proactive in identifying and mitigating project risks and comfortable presenting complex data and strategic recommendations to executive-level clients.
Demonstrable proficiency and experience administering standard Irish construction contracts (GCCC/RIAI).
Strong understanding of the construction market, regulatory environment, and planning processes.
Advanced skills in project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project) and project management platforms.
Package
€75K-€85K, depending on level of experience and negotiable for the right candidate.
