Tendering Engineer - HV/MV Consultancy - Kildare

Our client provides high and medium voltage electrical design, installation, inspection, commissioning and maintenance services for bespoke and full turnkey solutions.
Due to increased growth they are is seeking to appoint Tender Engineers to join the team.
d interpret client tender documents for high and medium voltage infrastructure projects.
Develop complete and compliant technical and commercial submissions for substations, air insulated switchgear (AIS), gas insulated switchgear (GIS), transmission lines and grid connections.
Prepare cost estimates, bill of quantities, and pricing strategies based on technical scope and project risk assessment.
Develop project programme and propose value engineering solutions to optimize cost and time.
Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotations and technical documentation.
Ensure timely submissions of bids and track tender progress using internal systems.
Participate in clarification meetings and project handover sessions with execution teams.
Manage multiple tenders concurrently, adapting to variable submission timelines and project requirements.
Requirements
lor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Over 5 years of experience in tendering, estimating anddesign for high and medium voltage infrastructure.
Familiar with utility tendering processes and full project lifecycles.
Strong technical expertise in HV substation design ranging from 10 kV to 220 kV.
Experience in both primary and secondary substation design (advantageous).
Knowledge of ESB and EirGrid standards and practices. (desired but not compulsory).
Skilled in interpreting basic civil engineering concepts for accurate civil scope pricing.
Proficient in EPLAN and AutoCAD 2D (desired but not compulsory).
Proficient in the latest software and tools including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project) and Sharepoint (Office 365).
Strong understanding of utility standards and safety practices.
Team player, committed to supporting and contributing in the overall team success.
Ability to travel to project sites as required.

Full-time permanent roles, 39 working hours per week. Working hours; 8.30 – 5pm Mon – Thursdays and 8.30 – 4 on Fridays.
