Position: Beef Deboner/Trimmer/Butcher
Reporting To: Production Manager/Production Supervisor
The Role: Work as part of the factory processing team producing meat to fulfil production targets on a daily and weekly basis. Essential to maintaining the maximum required line-speed and breaking the carcass into suitable portions for follow-on trimmers / operatives down the line
Key Responsibilities:
o Excellent knife skills and in-depth knowledge of the butchery trade.
o Fully debone an entire carcass, both hind quarter and fore quarter
o Separate all cuts at maximum line speed
o Moving carcasses around the meat areas without damaging the meat and putting them in a production line.
o Using tools such as knives and saws to break up, split and debone carcasses
o Cut, trim and prepare meat cuts to specification
Other Responsibilities:
o Ensure time is managed effectively.
o Ensure all appropriate Health and Safety procedures are always implemented and adhered to
o Be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy, always maintaining confidentiality in respect of all company related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential and/or sensitive information.
o To be aware of, implement and maintain all company policies and procedures.
