Environmental Science Expert (AI Training)
What if your expertise in climate modeling, ecology, or sustainability could directly shape how AI understands our planet's most pressing challenges? We are looking for Environmental Science experts — Masters and PhD holders — to develop rigorous, real-world problems that train the next generation of AI models to reason at a scientific level.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience needed — just deep domain expertise and a commitment to scientific precision.

What You'll Do
Develop, solve, and review advanced environmental science problems with real-world relevance and scientific rigor
Apply your expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or related fields to design complex, meaningful problem statements
Evaluate AI-generated responses to environmental science questions for accuracy, depth, and clarity
Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve model reasoning
Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of scientific accuracy and communicative clarity
Who You Are
Hold a Master\'s or PhD in Environmental Science or a closely related discipline
Strong expertise in at least one of: climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or environmental systems
Proficient in Python or R for research or data analysis
Exceptional written communication skills with sharp attention to detail
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
Fluent in English
Nice to Have
Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
Familiarity with scientific writing for non-specialist audiences
Experience designing coursework, exams, or research problems in an academic setting
Background spanning multiple environmental science subfields
