Job Description
The Senior Contracts Manager will manage pre- and post-contract requirements for the Infrastructure Department's portfolio, ensuring compliance with awarded framework agreements and work orders.
Responsibilities include:
Understand and align to the Contracting Entity's Contract Management standards.
Assure compliance with standards and contractual terms in contract administration activities, reporting non-compliance.
Manage commercial relationships with contractors and consultants.
Review draft contracts and coordinate inputs from advisors.
Lead contractual negotiations and provide guidance to Programme Directors/Managers.
Undertake delay damages calculations if required.
Establish and review contract management strategies.
Set KPI targets in incentive schedules within NEC contracts and review contractor performance.
Qualifications
15+ years experience in contract/cost management and administration, with at least 7 years of NEC experience (10+ years for Intermediate level).
Knowledge of monitoring contractors and consultants performance.
Significant experience and understanding of claims management.
Experience establishing performance management frameworks for contractors and consultants.
Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators for contractors and consultants and building a KPI library.
Experience in administrating contracts, particularly the NEC suite.
Experience developing and implementing contract management strategies.
