Application Closing Date: 20th March, 17:00 pm Irish Time Role Overview We are seeking a Hydrogen Education Intern [Science and Engineering] to support our new team in driving the Hydrogen Education Programme.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in hands-on project work, supporting schools and youth services with learning experiences focused on hydrogen energy technology and STEM education.
Role: Hydrogen Education Intern [Science and Engineering] Location: Hybrid (work from home or hub with travel as required) Contract: Internship (Full Time or Part Time) Requirements Responsibilities
1. Programme Implementation Support Assist in the delivery of Kinia's Hydrogen Education Programmes nationally, focusing on the activation of skills across formal and informal education sectors.
Support the use of Kinia's project-based learning experiences related to Hydrogen Energy Technology in schools and youth services.
Assist in coordinating and collaborating on the rollout of programme-related events or competitions.
Support the distribution of educational materials and equipment specific to the hydrogen programme.
2. Educator Support Activation Assist in providing schools and youth services with professional development and upskilling resources.
Help collect and monitor feedback from participants to ensure high standards.
3. Stakeholder Engagement Partnerships Assist in maintaining relationships with schools, educators, and youth services.
Support coordination efforts with partners, including third-level institutions and industry stakeholders.
Help promote STEM education and renewable energy awareness through various channels.
4. Research Operations Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends in education and digital learning.
Support the management of project timelines and deliverables for specific programme components.
Requirements Essential: Qualifications: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a 3rd Level qualification in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Systems) or a related Technical/Scientific field.
Experience: Some experience or a strong interest in facilitating science or engineering workshops or events for non-technical audiences.
Logistics: A full, clean driver's license (essential for travel to schools/hubs).
Desirable: Irish Language: Proficiency in Irish, or a strong appetite for learning and engaging in bilingual development.
Skills and Competencies Organisation: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines.
Communication: Excellent communication skills; an enthusiastic communicator of renewable energy potential.
Sustainability Focus: Demonstrable interest or project experience in sustainable energy technologies.
Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Mindset: An adaptable, start-up mindset, ready for new initiatives.
Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external partners.
