Electrical Engineering Technician Job Opportunity
This is a challenging role that requires delivering high-quality electrical maintenance service to production and being part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for maintaining machinery and equipment.
* Provide reactive and planned maintenance support to the entire site.
* Perform installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting of plant and equipment.
* Carry out basic programming and diagnostic tests on plant and equipment.
* Maximize uptime and minimize downtime in production and utility areas by implementing preventive maintenance programs.
* Troubleshoot using PLC programs from various manufacturers such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, General Electric, and Schneider Electric.
* Offer technical support for all plant facilities, including compressed air and refrigeration systems.
* Participate in environmental, health and safety, and quality activities.
* Execute engineering work orders in a timely and safe manner while adhering to cGMP guidelines.
In order to be successful in this position, you will need:
* A relevant third-level qualification in engineering or a time-served electrician/fitter.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a maintenance role with planned and reactive maintenance skills.
* A working knowledge of relevant Health, Safety & Environmental legislation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* The ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a decisive approach.
* Experience with a wide range of motor control systems, process temperature controls, and pneumatics.
* Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
* Knowledge of safety systems utilizing isolation/lock-off procedures, risk assessment, and permit-to-work.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
* A strong team player with the ability to work independently.
This role involves working variable shifts, with some on-call commitments. A car is required for the job, and you must be eligible to work in Ireland without sponsorship.
