What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Resident Engineer, you will be a trusted technical leader onsite, supporting the successful delivery of Irish Water and utility projects. Your work will ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, performance, and compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring, supervising, and reporting on onsite works
* Ensuring contractor compliance with
Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations
* Managing day-to-day site operations to ensure works follow contract requirements
* Preparing high-quality technical reports, documentation, and presentations
* Supporting client meetings, audits, and inspections
* Being a key liaison between contractors, design teams, and the client
What You Bring
We're looking for Senior REs who bring technical credibility, leadership, and a problem-solving mindset:
* Level 8 degree in Engineering (essential)
* 10+ years' engineering experience
, ideally in water, utilities, civil or infrastructure projects
* Strong experience in
site supervision, QA/QC, and safe construction practices
* Pipeline or treatment plant experience is a major advantage
* Full driving licence
* Safepass, Managing Safely in Construction & Manual Handling certifications
Core Competencies

* Excellent communication—written and verbal
* Skilled in MS Office (Excel proficiency especially valued)
* Knowledge of
Public Works Contracts and FIDIC
