Internal Assurance Specialist
This is a high-impact role offering excellent exposure across group operations.
You'll support the delivery of independent assurance and advisory services, while building strong relationships with stakeholders across Ireland, the UK, and Spain.
* Planning and executing assurance reviews of operational and financial controls
* Challenging control frameworks and recommending value-adding improvements
* Drafting clear, insightful reports for senior stakeholders
* Tracking and verifying remediation actions
* Supporting risk management initiatives and ad-hoc projects
* Developing strong internal relationships and encouraging cross-functional learning
* Conducting travel-based audits and stakeholder engagement
Key Responsibilities:
Assurance Reviews: Plan, execute and report on assurance reviews to ensure effective operation of business processes. Challenging Control Frameworks: Identify areas for improvement in control frameworks and recommend process enhancements. Reporting: Create clear and actionable reports for senior stakeholders on findings and recommendations. Project Support: Assist in the implementation of project tasks and drive project forward when necessary.
Required Skills:
Three years' experience in internal or external audit, or equivalent experience in governance and risk management. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. Fluency in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
