If so, our Edmonton Refinery Laboratory can allow you to showcase your skills and grow your career with us.Minimum Requirements: Must possess a minimum of a two-year diploma in Chemical Technology or a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from a recognized institution5 years of experience in an industrial quality control laboratoryPossess a valid driver's license and a clean driving recordExperience with LIMS or SAPKnowledge of ASTM methods for petroleum testingStrong organizational and workload management skillsGood communication and teamworkTroubleshooting and analytical skills are requiredResponsibilities: Execute daily laboratory analysis on crude oil, intermediates, and finished products using approved SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)Maintain, calibrate, and verify the performance of laboratory instruments (e.g., gas chromatographs, viscometers)Record samples collected in the LIMS system and apply the appropriate labelsTake initiative while performing routine and project based sampling and analytical work on petroleum and wastewater samplesShow commitment and dedication to safe work practices, procedures and standardsParticipate in lab quality programs and troubleshoot non-conformance trendsLocation & Other Key Details:You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum WayThe shift schedule is a 4 day a week with the requirement to work one weekend day every 5 weeks. with the potential for extended work. Hours will be based on business needs.
