As a Product Design/Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in pioneering innovative product designs that meet the evolving needs of our customers while adhering to sustainable practices. You will collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure our product offerings align with market demands, emphasizing eco-friendly materials and processes.
So, what will you be doing as a Product Design/Development Engineer?
* Design and develop cutting-edge products from concept to production, with a strong focus on sustainability and environmentally friendly practices.
* Collaborate with the sales team to gather insights and feedback, translating them into innovative design specifications that meet customer expectations.
* Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to evaluate new product ideas, placing emphasis on sustainable materials and manufacturing processes.
* Create detailed design documentation, including specifications, schematics, and prototypes that reflect our commitment to innovation and sustainability.
* Test and evaluate prototypes, making necessary adjustments based on performance data and sales feedback, while ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
* Participate in trade shows and promotional events to showcase our sustainable product innovations.
* Maintain accurate records of product distribution and performance in collaboration with the sales and marketing team, focusing on the impact of innovative designs.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
* Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
* A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in product design and development, with a focus on innovation and sustainable design solutions.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other design tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for eco-friendly design and customer needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with sales teams and management.
* Knowledge of sustainable materials, manufacturing processes, and product testing methodologies.
* Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and a commitment to environmentally responsible design.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to sustainability.
