General SummaryAs a leading technology innovator, Qualcomm pushes the boundaries of what's possible to enable next‑generation experiences and drives communication and data processing transformation to help create a smarter, connected future for all. As a Qualcomm Engineer, you will define, model, design (digital and/or analog), optimize, verify and validate IP (block/SoC) development for high‑performance, low‑power products. You will collaborate with cross‑functional groups to determine product execution paths.Key ResponsibilitiesPerformance exploration: explore high performance strategies with the CPU modeling team.Microarchitecture development & specification: from high‑level exploration to detailed specification.RTL ownership: develop, assess, and refine RTL design to achieve power, performance, area and timing goals.Functional verification support: assist the verification team with functional verification strategy.Performance verification support: ensure RTL meets performance goals.Design delivery: work with the multi‑functional engineering team to implement and validate physical design for timing, area, reliability, testability and power.QualificationsThorough knowledge of microprocessor architecture, including instruction fetch, decode, branch prediction, scheduling, register renaming, out‑of‑order execution, integer/floating‑point execution, load/store, prefetching, cache and memory subsystems.Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL, simulators and waveform debugging tools.Logic design principles, timing and power implications.Understanding of low‑power microarchitecture techniques.High‑performance techniques and trade‑offs in a CPU microarchitecture.Experience with scripting language such as Perl or Python.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.Equal OpportunityWe are an Equal Opportunity employer; all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any protected classification.BenefitsApart from working in an open, relaxed and collaborative space, you will enjoy:Salary, stock and performance‑related bonus.Maternity/Paternity Leave.Employee stock purchase scheme.Matching pension scheme.Education assistance.Relocation and immigration support.Life, medical, income and travel insurance.Subsidised memberships for physical and mental well‑being.Bicycle purchase scheme.Employee run clubs, including running, football, chess, badminton, and many more.
