Site Engineer - Precast Installation, Dublin City
The Site Engineer is responsible for setting out, surveying, and quality assurance of precast installation works. The role ensures that all elements are installed to design specifications, within tolerance, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The engineer works closely with the Site Manager, installation crews, and design team to maintain efficiency, accuracy, and programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Setting Out & Surveying
* Set out all precast elements (walls, slabs, stairs, etc.) in accordance with issued drawings and specifications.
* Check levels, dimensions, and tolerances prior to and during installation.
* Maintain accurate survey control and site records.
Quality Assurance
* Carry out QA inspections for each stage of installation: tie bars, wall joints, slabs, and stairs.
* Complete inspection checklists and upload records to the company's digital system (e.g., Autodesk, FieldView).
* Ensure all works comply with approved drawings and project specifications.
Coordination & Communication
* Liaise with Site Manager and Main Contractor to coordinate sequencing, crane operations, and deliveries.
* Interface with Design and Production teams regarding any technical queries (RFIs, site deviations, etc.).
* Support the installation crews with accurate and timely technical information.
Health & Safety
* Ensure works are completed in line with Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MS/RAMS).
* Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox talks.
* Report and document any non-conformances or near misses.
Programme & Progress
* Monitor daily progress against the programme and report to the Site Manager.
* Record as-built data and update progress tracking.
* Assist in planning future works to optimise productivity.
Skills Required
* Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
* 2-4 years' experience in site engineering, preferably within precast or concrete structures.
* Proficient in total station and GPS surveying equipment.
* Strong understanding of technical drawings and structural detailing.
* Experience using digital QA platforms (Autodesk, FieldView, or similar).
* Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and relevant H&S training.
