The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Defines and manages multiple phases of major projects for a business area. Determines resource needs, recommends test strategies, and develops cost benefit analysis. Manages and implements projects. Oversees all project activities and provides status reports.
- Interacts with technology, product management, and operations to formulate and implement solutions to enhance existing services, create new client deliverables, or improve processes.
- Identifies impact of changes and processes on staff; analyses the change, facilitates acceptance of change through training and communication. Provides ongoing support for the solution.
- Reviews documents, existing procedures, and processes and recommends where automation or improved processes can be implemented. Designs/develops new procedures when appropriate.
- Prepares detailed system specifications for proposed automated processes and systems enhancements.
- Sets and maintains project schedules, monitors progress toward completion of project and adjusts schedule or tasks as needed.
- Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of new processes, systems and/or modifications to existing solutions. Coordinates testing of new systems and systems modifications.
- Determines vendor requirements, reviews and compares vendor services and products, and makes recommendations to management.
- Leads others to solve complex problems.
- Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions.

- Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view.
- An understanding of regulators' requirements and expectations regarding data needs for risk related data and the reporting of risk data.
- An understanding of risk management frameworks.
- May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
