ID Recruitment are working with a leader in medical device equipment manufacturing company in Roscommon to recruit a Toolroom Operator. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the person in this role will be responsible for the cleaning, storage, inspection, preparation, and assembly of tooling used in the Extrusion Department.This role is a three shift cycle - 2 weeks days, 2 week evenings, 2 weeks nights.Duties and Responsibilities include;Clean and Assemble tooling in accordance with relevant product EXPS (Set-Up Sheets) and Standard Operating ProceduresInspect tooling for general wear and tear, and to identify parts that could potentially lead to manufacturing issues during use. Highlight issues at Shift Handovers and in the future document these when a traceability system is formally introducedPeriodic Inspection of critical tooling as defined through the Preventative Maintenance System and documentation of the sameEnsure tooling is correctly stored and maintained as per relevant Standard Operating ProceduresIntroduce efficient work practices to the Toolroom area through working with CI Engineer and on own initiative (while adhering to current procedures, or updating current procedures to reflect)Ongoing review of tasks and identification of improvements to those.Complete all work to a high standard with particular focus on adherence to procedures/instructions, adherence to detail, cGMP, and Safety RequirementsActively participate in work centre improvement groups, to improve quality, reduce costs, eliminate waste and improve working methods, conditions and communications.Skills and experience.Operators should have attained pass Leaving Certificate or equivalent as a minimum. An Engineering/Mechanical/Tooling background would be beneficialMedical device/pharmaceutical and/or diagnostics manufacturing experience would be very beneficial.Must have a good working knowledge of production and quality system requirements in the health care industry.Strong communication skills.Practical level-headed individual with strong technical ability and a self-starter.Have the ability to effectively manage a simultaneous range of diverse activities.· Have an ability to work hands-on engaging with cross-functional groupsJob Type: Full-timePay: €14.27-€15.91 per hourBenefits:Employee assistance programExperience:Toolmaker/Maintenance Technician: 2 years (required)Work Location: In person
