About the Position
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team. As a skilled Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation and service of mechanical equipment on various contracting sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out mechanical installation and service of all types of pumps, blowers, screens, gearboxes, and other mechanical assets in the water and wastewater industry.
* Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical plant operations and carrying out routine planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
* Clearly identifying mechanical faults and resolving them, including identifying parts required.
Required Competencies and Skills:
* Techincal Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and manuals.
* Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and fix mechanical issues.
* Attention to Detail: Precision in performing maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
* Teamwork: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
