An excellent opportunity has arisen within our Accounting department for a Financial Accounts Assistant to join us and be based at our Dublin site. Reporting to the EMEA Financial Accountant, the successful candidate will strengthen our Finance & Controlling team across EMEA and Freight Forwarding. The candidate will play a key role in supporting month‑end close and supporting the audit for all the Irish entities.

About the role
 * Prepare and manage the weekly cash forecast
 * Timely and accurate month‑end close and meaningful variance analysis of results and commentary against budget/forecast – WD4
 * Conduct various analysis on own initiative and on request from senior management, reporting back findings and recommendations
 * Liaise with operations and other finance departments to ensure information is received on a timely basis
 * Prepare the gross margin analysis reports for two sites
 * Prepare the monthly revenue analysis reports for four sites
 * Manage Treasury postings and ensure that everything reconciles daily
 * Manage the Treasury Loans report for Europe
 * Ensure all intercompany balances reconcile for month‑end close
 * Ensure the weekly Billing is loaded correctly to SAP from CIS and stratum
 * Produce monthly reconciliations for the main trading entity and Treasury
 * Produce quarterly reconciliations for non‑trading entities
 * Support the yearly Group and Statutory Audit
 * Prepare and post journal entries
What you will bring
Education
 * Part-qualified accountant ACA; ACCA; CIMA; or CPA
Experience
 * Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an operationally focused accounts assistant or Credit control role
 * Excellent communication skills and a track record in building relationships – liaising with internal and external personnel at all levels
Definite asset
 * Experience of SAP & Oracle is desirable (not essential)

 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 * Ability to multi‑task and prioritise work effectively, meeting reporting deadlines
 * Ability to communicate with a variety of people, across different regional backgrounds and roles
 * Flexibility and willingness to learn and develop on the job
 * Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
 * Proficient in Microsoft Office tools – Excel proficiency is desirable
