We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our client's finance department as a Financial Reporting Officer. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient and effective operation of financial processes.
Job Description:
* Precise and timely preparation of monthly balance sheets and bank reconciliations in collaboration with the Financial Accountant.
* Maintain accurate records of bank accounts and manage related administration, including completing monthly bank reconciliations across all accounts.
* Monitor cash flow to meet organisational requirements.
* Purchasing card management: Maintain register of VISA Purchasing Cards, manage card issuance and cancellations, process and review VISA statements and confirmations.
* Accounts Payable and Procurement Support: Assist implementation of National Procurement Contracts, prepare compliance monitoring and statutory reports, support Accounts Payable as required.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
1. Financial reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports for stakeholders.
2. Banking and Cash Management: Manage organisational banking relationships, monitor cash flow, and maintain accurate records.
3. Credit and Purchasing Card Administration: Manage organisational credit cards, ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Finance Department Cover
1. Provide cover for Accounts Officer and Financial Accountant during absences.
Other Duties
1. Participate in special projects.
2. Provide guidance on finance issues to administrative staff.
3. Represent the organisation on national working groups.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential:
* Significant experience in bank and balance sheet reconciliations, purchasing card administration, and monthly financial reporting.
* Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
* High level of initiative, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
* Honest, trustworthy, and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
* Level 6 qualification in Accounting or Business.
* Experience with statutory audits.
