We are looking to hire someone to provide cover / support in the kitchen.You will work Thursday and Friday every week and every second weekend regularly (fours hours a day) to provide a mid-day meal.You will also cover annual leave, training, sick leave etc of other staff on a more casual basis.You will be required to· plan, prepare and cook a three course mid-day meal for approximately 10 to 14 people· clean up after this meal· sundry baking;· manage the kitchen and maintain appropriate levels of hygiene and health and safety standards in both the kitchen and dining areas, including cleaning kitchen equipment / oven· ensure HACCP standards are used in the rotation of food, cleaning of fridge etc· Manage kitchen laundry· Manage different dietary requirements in conjunction with the Health Care Co-OrdinatorAs these lists are not exhaustive a certain degree of flexibility will be required.The IndividualYou will be required to have previous cooking experience. A sound working knowledge of HACCP is essential. Experience dealing with various dietary requirements is essential.You will be working closely with the Guardian or his appointed Line Manager. An open-minded approach and readiness to tackle any challenge, no matter how big or small, is important. Confidentiality is key.As this is a small organisation, your daily activities could vary greatly and as such you will need to be exceptionally organised, extremely proactive and not afraid to use your initiativeA good working knowledge of English is essential.The PackageThe hours are four hours a dayThursday and Friday and every second weekend and occasional holiday cover outside of this.
