Electrical Maintenance Specialist
This pivotal role involves overseeing planned maintenance, coordinating works with the maintenance planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for all high-voltage related switching activities on site while maintaining a safety-first mindset.
The Electrical Maintenance Specialist will act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for all electrical equipment on site reporting to Operations Manager and interacting with Shift Operations Technicians. Key responsibilities include managing third-party vendors, maximizing availability and efficiency of assets under our control, direct management of contractors ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices contractual obligations.
- Directly oversee planning and execution of outages/scheduled preventative maintenance schedules
- Be technical expert onsite relating design codes legislation process safety maintained working O&M Team
- Plan execute outages preventative schedules owned areas contact escalations issues assisting root analysis reports both internal external stakeholders identifying proactive recommendations management executing coordinating projects safely within incident support vendor tracking review findings future corrective actions Review asset risk registers clearly communicate maintains CMMS system scheduling accurately comprehensive Reporting supporting risks events faults Alarms-Equipment guidelines leading operations technicians devices coordination hazard energy controlled leadership governance LOTO procedure implementing documentation proper trained safe systems followed staff executed complying quality continuous improvement programs business improving procedures.
