ESB Enterprises Services is recognized for playing a pivotal role in accelerating ESB's transformation to achieve its Net Zero 2040 strategy. Enterprise Services enables this vision by leading, advising, and delivering across various expertise areas in partnership with all business units. The Transformation Manager role was established to create a Transformation Office that supports enterprise-wide transformation through developing a clear Vision and Narrative, including five strategic shifts:
1. End-to-end process ownership and definition
2. Standardization of services
3. Empowering Users through Self-Serve Self-Solve
4. Digital Ways of Working including Data Insights and Technology enablement
5. Prioritization based on Value
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish the TMO with clear deliverables including:
- Enabling Strategies
- Reference Architecture
- Value Framework and Value Office
Collaborate with HR & Finance to ensure cohesive process design across the organization.
Establish and chair the Strategic Design Group.
Create and monitor a unified Transformation Plan focusing on innovative and disruptive thinking.
Develop Change Management strategies and BU engagement plans.
Implement governance and reporting mechanisms to demonstrate the value of the Transformation Plan.
Foster a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and transformation through strong collaboration.
Promote new ways of working, including data insights, digital enablement, and emerging technologies to enhance efficiencies.
Define and align the Vision for Service Management to ensure cohesive implementation across Enterprise Services.
Establish and oversee governance requirements.
Lead with values-driven behaviors to promote positive organizational culture and collaboration.
Engage employees with the company's purpose and strategy to meet customer, people, and commercial goals.
Align all activities with the business strategy.
Maintain a strong reputation for Enterprise Services by developing innovative, insight-driven solutions.
Apply strategic and commercial acumen to decision-making, focusing on improving ESB's financial performance to support the 2040 strategy.
Key Competencies and Skillsets
- Proven leadership and influencing skills at Senior Management level.
- Effective stakeholder engagement across the organization.
- Experience working with senior business stakeholders and partner companies.
- Values-led leadership behaviors.
- Strategic decision-making focused on financial improvement.
- Proven track record of delivering tangible business results.
- Expertise in Change Management methodologies and sustainable change adoption.
- Experience assessing the impact of emerging technology on business strategy.
- Health and safety expertise.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or master's preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably within the utility sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, project management, and analytical skills.
Location: 27, Lower Fitzwilliam Street
ESB supports flexible working arrangements, including digital tools and trust-based culture. The successful candidate may work flexibly with in-person collaboration at least once a week, subject to managerial approval.
