Energy Management Specialist Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Energy Management Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking a senior role within a collaborative and purpose-driven organisation.
About the Role
The Energy Management Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive energy management framework, ensuring optimal energy performance across our diverse estate.
* Lead our energy management strategy across healthcare and support service facilities.
* Monitor and report on energy consumption, identify opportunities for efficiency and lead behavioural change programmes.
* Establish and support energy and green teams across multiple sites.
This includes managing energy systems, renewable energy initiatives, and compliance with sustainability regulations.
You will play a critical leadership role in shaping and embedding energy efficiency and carbon reduction strategies into our core operations and culture.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including technical services, estates, operations, and sustainability units, you will drive real and measurable improvements in energy performance and environmental impact.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A proven track record in energy management, ideally within healthcare, property, public sector, or large-scale organisations.
* Experience with capital works project planning and delivery.
* Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and external contractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
You will require:
* A degree in Energy Management (level 8 minimum), Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Energy / Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
* Professional membership of a recognised body (e.g. Energy Institute, Engineers Ireland, CIBSE).
* Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent certification is advantageous.
